Hour 1: What allows some ideas to survive, while others are forgotten? We’ll find out this hour with writer and filmmaker Jonnie Hughes [1], who toured the Midwestern United States in an effort to study the natural history of ideas. His resulting book is “On the Origin of Tepees: The Evolution of Ideas (and Ourselves)” (Free Press, 2011).
