Hour 1: Setting aside the debates about carbon, fossil fuels and global warming, one big question remains, what will humankind do once the oil and coal are all gone? We’ll find out this hour with Robert B. Laughlin [1], Nobel Laureate and Anne T. and Robert M. Bass Professor of Physics at Stanford University. Laughlin’s new book is “Powering the Future: How We Will (Eventually) Solve the Energy Crisis and Fuel the Civilization of Tomorrow” (Basic Books, 2011).
