Hour 2: As authoritarian rule continues to be challenged across the Middle East, what role will Islam play in the coming power structures and could a future of enlightened reason and freedom coexist with religion in the Islamic world? We’ll spend this hour with journalist Mustafa Akyol, author of “Islam without Extremes: A Muslim Case for Liberty” (W. W. Norton & Company, 2011). Akyol will speak at the Dallas Institute of Humanities and Culture  this evening.
