Hour 1:          Of the public tragedies in our lifetimes, few threatened the emotional well-being of Americans like 9-11. We’ll talk this hour with writer David Guterson, whose despair over the 2001 attacks on the Pentagon, the Twin Towers and in the air above Pennsylvania became a major depressive disorder. He came through the emptiness to write “Descent: A Memoir of Madness” (Vintage, 2013).
