Big Trouble At Little Bighorn

[1]Hour 2:        General Custer’s defeat at the Battle of Little Bighorn was front-page news across America. The journalists who covered the historic battle are often credited with mythologizing Custer, but University of North Texas professor James E. Mueller says that a look back at newspapers of the day disproves that idea. He writes about his findings in Shooting Arrows & Slinging Mud: Custer, the Press, and the Little Bighorn [2] (University of Oklahoma Press).
