Think 5 Comments 27

Hour 1: This year, Fort Worth will be the largest city in America to become a Blue Zone. The designation goes to cities that work with employers, restaurants and schools to promote healthful choices for residents. We’ll talk this hour about the project with Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price and Joel Spoonheim of Healthways, the organization that founded the program.

To get you prepped for the hour, be sure to take a listen to Doulay Xaykaothao’s story about the project that ran on KERA this morning.

I have a friend that lived in Italy for three years and returned to Ft Worth trying to walk to Camp Bowie, etc. Several times when out pushing her stroller people would stop her and ask if she needed help because it was foreign to see someone walking in that area. Dorothy

Hi I grew up in the Southeast part of Fort Worth. It seems that this side of the city is being ignore. Ex: highways have not been improved in years. While on the Southwest and West side the highways have been worked on several times in the last 25 years. Why is this? It is very noticeable.
