Hour 1:       As a foreign correspondent based in Jerusalem, Matthew Kalman has covered the Israel-Palestine conflict for nearly two decades. We’ll talk to him this hour about the current state of affairs in the Middle East. Kalman is in town to address the annual meeting of American Jewish Committee.

I have a problem with Matthew Kalman’s characterization of the news agency, Al Jazeera, as religiously influenced, My experience with Al Jazeera has been very positive and not slanted toward any particular religion. In fact their reporting is more exploratory and thorough than most of our American media sources. AJ professionally covers lots of subjects nobody else touches. I find Al Jazeera most helpful.
