KERA 90.1 WINS TEXAS ASSOCIATED PRESS BROADCAST AWARDS

DALLAS/FORT WORTH – KERA 90.1, the National Public Radio affiliate for North Texas, is pleased to be among the winners the Texas Associated Press Broadcasters Awards for 2007-2008. The awards take place Saturday, April 19, 2008 during the TAPB Convention at the Hilton DFW Lakes Hotel in Grapevine, Texas.

KERA 90.1 News Director Shelley Kofler, and News Reporter Bill Zeeble received second place in the Special Series category for The Trinity Decision.  Kofler also received a second place award in the Serious Feature category for her story, Canoeing the Trinity. Bill Zeeble was awarded Honorable Mention in the Light Feature category for his report, FunAsia.

KERA is a not-for-profit public broadcasting organization that is independently owned and operated in North Texas.
