RECAPTURING CUBA: AN ARTIST’S JOURNEY
ON KERA-TV
DALLAS/FORT WORTH – Recapturing Cuba: An Artist’s Journey follows Cuban-American artist and Dallas resident Rolando Diaz as he returns to Cuba for the first time since he was a child. Diaz hopes not only to recapture the childhood memories that inspire his art, but to meet contemporary Cuban artists and understand their influences.
Recapturing Cuba: An Artist’s Journey premieres Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at 8:30 p.m. on KERA-TV. It is the first in the series of television programs presented by Art&Seek. Recapturing Cuba is a co-production of Trinity Films and KERA-TV.
Part personal journey, part art-travelogue, Recapturing Cuba is an adventure film with an energetic and charismatic character. The documentary examines the fascinating and seldom seen world of Cuban art as Diaz meets and works with Havana's top artists and discovers a thriving art scene. The experience recaptures the Cuban spirit within him and points his art in a new direction.
ABOUT THE PRODUCTION TEAM
