Internship – Art&Seek – Spring 2015
Art&Seek, the arts arm of the KERA Newsroom, covers visual art, theater, literary art, dance and music in North Texas with sound-rich radio stories and web updates – while managing an open-source calendar fed by more than 2,000 arts groups and venues. So, we could use an intern.
If you’re up for seeing shows at DIY venues in West Dallas as much as performances by the Texas Ballet Theater, and you’re a student with hopes to make a career out of this kind of thing, read on. We’re hoping to find a solid writer with some audio editing experience to join us for the Fall and Spring semesters.
Though you’ll primarily work with the arts team, there’ll be opportunities to work with the News Department and Think, too.
Requirements: Enrollment as a full-time undergrad with freshman year completed, intent to complete internship for class credit, available 10-20 hours a week, some knowledge of public radio, understanding of how art impacts communities and the samples (published stories, blog posts, schoolwork, etc.) to show it.
Send your resume, samples and a story pitch to firstname.lastname@example.org.
