Are you a cub reporter with the heart of an audiophile and a knack for thoughtful social media? Are you good with a camera? Are you ready to use what you’re learning in J-school and give our newsroom new energy? Then we want to meet you. KERA 90.1 is looking for a Reporting Intern to work with our award-winning news team. You’d write, photograph, blog, Tweet, Instagram and contribute to the radio. You’d also help manage equipment, which is an excellent way to learn field recording.
We’re hoping to find a student that can stay with us for two semesters. So if you’re in it to win it, read on.
Requirements: Enrollment as a full-time undergrad with freshman year completed, intent to complete the internship for class credit, 10-20 hours a week available, knowledge of public radio, a love of news and discourse and the samples (published stories, blog posts, schoolwork, etc.) to show it.
