Poetry has a home at the South Dallas Cultural Center. Fort Worth poetry slam champ Michael Guinn, was the master of ceremonies at this evening of spoken word on June 19. David Alvarado shot and edited the overview you can watch above, and he also shot the individual performances below.
Dallas Urban League Young Professionals presents an open mic poetry night with a neo-soul ambience at the center every third Thursday of the month.
