I've suggested in my zine the creation of short-story films. If a 2 hour movie is a sprawling novel, a short story film is a taut well told short story with no filler, no extraneous excess. Most present day big films could be better if they dumped the subplots, half the intro and credits, and kept the action going on a single main story. I think a well made 30 minute film can do everything a 2 hour one can and often do it better. I wish there was a commercial market for these short films
