Jason Janik has been taking pictures of Texas bands for more than a decade, so it’s only fitting that his exhibition at Kettle Art is accompanied by live local music. The show continues through Saturday when it ends with a party next door at Club Dada. Baboon and Pikahsso are among the performers.

Janik has shot for everyone from The Dallas Morning News and New York Times to Rolling Stone and Spin.

The Deep Ellum gallery is open from 7 to 10 p.m. for the next three nights. Bands play at 9. Tonight it’s Smile Smile, tomorrow Shibboleth. Proceeds benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the exhibition, co-sponsored by Quick.
