Feel it in My Bones

A conversation between a contemporary journalist and the spirit of an African slave who died in America more than 3,000 years ago forms the framework of this powerful new KERA production. The subject of their dialogue and the focus of the program is the desecration and destruction of Freedman’s Cemetery in Dallas and the African Burial Ground in Manhattan – both of which were “erased” to make way for urban growth.
