Dissecting the Earned Income Tax Credit

When a poor person gets a low-wage job, that employment also brings in additional money in the form of the earned income tax credit and other refunds. She’s part of a team of researchers that explores the topic in the book It’s Not Like I’m Poor: How Working Families Make Ends Meet in a Post-Welfare World (University of California Press).
