Raffle: A Trip To London and Highclere Castle

Official Rules: Employees of North Texas Public Broadcasting (NTPB) and any immediate family members residing with the employees are not eligible to participate. Also members of the NTPB Board of Directors and NTPB Community Advisory Board and any immediate family members residing with them are not eligible to participate. Must be 21 years or older to enter. The winning ticket will be drawn the evening of March 5, 2014, live on air on KERA 13. Winner will be notified by telephone and/or email. Holder of the winning ticket will be required to present the ticket receipt and positive identification for verification. Winner must complete Form W-9 and sign W-2G prior to receiving the prize. Raffle ticket price is not tax deductible or refundable. The Winner will receive an 7-day trip for 2 to London, England, from July 19, 2014, to July 26, 2014, with a fair market value of $8,390. This amount, less the $100 cost of winning raffle ticket, is taxable income to the winner. Upon acceptance of trip, winner must remit cash payment of $2,321 to satisfy 28% of U.S. common tax withholding. Airfare taxes, preferred seating, and any other additional airfare expenses are responsibility of the winner. The prize is not convertible to cash, nor will credit be given toward another prize. Winner must claim the prize within five (5) business days of being notified. In the event a winner elects not to accept or claim the prize, a second drawing will be held to determine a winner.
