Named one of Fortune magazine’s World’s 50 Greatest Leaders in 2018, Michael Sorrell led a turn-around when he became president of Paul Quinn College in 2007. Sorrell details changes the HBCU made in order to survive — like sacking the football program and transforming the field into a profitable farm. Sorrell says Paul Quinn’s urban workforce-college model is designed to expand far beyond the southern Dallas campus.
