Dallas artist Brad Ford Smith is lately best known for his Nomadic Fungi Institute project, which has been on display at Ro2 and North Haven Gardens.
But friends know he rarely leaves home without his sketchbook. And he’s very frequently at arts lectures, readings, performances. He’s combined the two. He sent Jerome Weeks the sketch above, made at State of the Arts last week at the Dallas Museum of Art.
Turns out there’s more.

Brad says he’s been making these postcard sketches – and sending them to the folks organizing the events he’s attending – for about a year.
Where will he show up next?
