Christopher Wagley is the Chief Operating Officer for KERA, one of the nation’s leading public broadcasting stations serving 2.6 million people each week. He leads the daily operations for KERA’s portfolio of stations, including KERA TV, KERA 90.1 FM and Triple A music station KXT 91.7 FM. Christopher also provides executive leadership for numerous core services, including: Branding, Broadcast Operations, Business Intelligence, Communications, Government Relations, HR, IT, Membership and Revenue Operations.
Prior to joining KERA in 2010, Christopher spent nine years at MTV Networks (MTVN), where he advanced through a variety of roles for brands like Nickelodeon, MTV, MTV 2 and VH1. His success in marketing and project management for these iconic brands led Christopher to join the pioneering team that launched MTVN’s groundbreaking LGBTQ+ cable channel, LOGO.
As a trusted mentor and personnel manager, Christopher has overseen some of KERA’s most transformational projects, including the award-winning Branding and Audience Development Campaign and the development of an ambitious Five-Year Strategic Plan. From high-visibility projects that enhance audience engagement to internal services that improve workflow and efficiency, Christopher’s leadership serves all aspects of the organization.
