A Conversation With Chelsea Clinton

think.kera.org 1

As the daughter of both a president and a party nominee, Chelsea Clinton has had an inside look at politics her entire life. On Sunday, she visited Dallas to talk about her life in and out of the spotlight – and about her latest book, “It’s Your World: Get Informed, Get Inspired & Get Going!” (Puffin Press). We’ll listen to the conversation, which was conducted by Krys Boyd in front of a live audience as part of DMA Arts & Letters Live.

Chelsea Clinton on …

… what it will take for the parties to have more constructive conversations:

“I think we can only have conversations like that if everyone in the conversation believes everyone has an equal right to be there. … I think it’s pretty evident given the public record of how many of our current elected officials say things that are undeniably racist, antisemitic, misogynist, homophobic, Islamaphobic, jingoistic, I don’t think that’s true. I think we have to get back to a place of electing people who believe that everyone has the right to be in the conversation.”
