DALLAS/FORT WORTH – On the July episode of KERA’s CEO, host Lee Cullum talks with Pat Stanton, Partner In Charge, Dallas, of the international law firm Baker Botts, LLP. Stanton discusses the challenges of real estate law and explains how the legal profession has evolved throughout the years. “When I first started practicing law 30 years ago, all it required was that you become very good at your craft; you work really hard and if you did that work would just flow through the door,” says Stanton. “But today it’s not so much like that. Today you have to be concerned with the business of law.” Stanton also discusses negotiating with business leaders from around the world, including emerging markets such as India, Brazil, Russia and China.

KERA’s CEO features insightful discussions with successful North Texas business leaders from the corporate and not-for-profit sectors about what it takes to make a company successful in today’s global marketplace and changing economy.
