Art&Seek Picks: Monday, December 7 11

Two teenagers are tricked into falling in love when their fathers pretend to have a feud in “The Fantasticks.” It’s the world’s longest running musical, and it opens tonight at Theatre Three.

It wouldn’t be the holidays without Handel’s “Messiah.” The thrilling choral classic is performed at Bass Performance Hall with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra and the Southwestern Seminary Master Chorale.

Jeffrey Siegel discusses music written after deafness overcame the composers. He’ll highlight Beethoven’s final Piano Sonata, Faure’s Nocturne, and the polkas of Smetana. Head to the Eisemann Center for the Keyboard Conversation “Splendor from Silence.”  media4
